Baby prep

Ok, so I haven't posted anything for a while until tonight... and here is my reasons :I had my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and niece come and visit, then my baby shower weekend, then trying to set up the baby's room and then my sister visited... so I've been super busy working in baby's room and visiting with family... Here are some updates on baby's room which I will do another entry later when its all done!

That is my baby niece "Ali Bug" playing around in all the stuff I got at my baby shower... I am really blessed to have such wonderful friends and family! I got almost everything I needed and tons more!

This is the baby's room from the hall... I just want everyone to know that is a baby's room... I got this at the shower too... and LOVED it!!! it went up right away!

I have also been shopping for the things I didn't get at the shower... James' grandmother sent us some money to buy the baby something and this stroller is one of the things from her!

Changing table is put together and is now my catch all for everything that needs put away! I'm having so          much fun working in the baby's room!

I seen this pacifier jar on pinterest and had to do it too... I have all the pacifiers and pacifier hooks in there.. most of which are Winnie the pooh!

The crib is put together and also another "catch all" until my mom "nana" comes to make the crib... that's what she wanted to do! So i'm saving it for her lol.. and that adorable bag hanging off the end is something my best friend made me... she sewed a million things for me and made everyone I know incredibly jealous :) Thanks Jess!!

Here is the closet that is busting open with things that need put away still...

The room is a work in progress but when it gets done I'll show it off!!! I'm so excited to see this little baby that has been kicking me and growing inside me for so long... we have about 6 weeks left!!!

Mummy Dogs...

Mummy Dogs....

You will need seamless dough or crescent rolls and hot dogs... Now I recommend the seamless dough its easier to work with and Nathan's skinless hot dogs are SO GOOD! just like sam's club!

Pre-heat oven to 350 and spray pan... lay dough out and cut into strips... make enough strips for how many hot dogs you have... you may have some dough left over just make a bread stick or something..

Wrap each strip around the hot dot to make it look like a "mummy" and bake for 15-18 minutes

and here you go... They are so good! It was a crowd pleaser here... Husband says "when are we going to make these again??"

Halloween Wreath

Halloween Wreath

You will need:
Wreath (Styrofoam worked best because it looks smoother)
Yellow, Orange, Black yarn,
Black Fuzzy yarn
Styrofoam cone
Pins

Since I had a white wreath I covered it in black yarn first since the fuzzy yarn is a little expensive to cover the whole thing with... Then I put the fuzzy black yarn around this to give it that look!

Then I cut one cone in half... its easier to attach if it is halved and then you have an extra (my Joanns only sold these in two packs)

Then I took the yellow and orange yarn to make the cone halves look like candy corn... I pined it instead of gluing it, mainly because my glue gun is in the basement and since I'm getting a big prego belly my husband doesn't like when I go down there when I'm home alone... the pins worked well....

I pinned them to the wreath and will probably reinforce them with the glue gun later....

I Tied some orange yarn around the top and hung on the door!!!

I love making wreathes so much!!! I hope you enjoy and are inspired to do the same!!

Mama Mia... Its a Pizza Pie...

PIZZA!

You will need:
Pizza Crust
Pizza Sauce
Cheese
toppings of your choice, I used ham and pineapples

Roll out the pizza crust... I baked it at 350 for about 8 min. before putting anything on it... if you don't pre-bake it will be doughy and taste gross!

I then spread the sauce... we use LaRosa's spaghetti sauce and I don't like much sauce and James likes a bunch so thats why its uneven! also add all the cheese you want.. we like a lot of cheese...

I found better ham in the fridge than the diced ham in the first picture so I got this out and cut it up in small pieces...

Put the toppings on...

Being pregnant what I want changes from minute to minute... so I wanted pineapple but by the time I opened the can of pineapple chunks, I no longer wanted them... so again my husbands half has more stuff than mine!
Bake on 350 for another 7-10 minutes... and there you have it!

And there he is... A very happy Hubby... who says... "mmm...Good..mmm" or something along those lines :o)

Enjoy Pizza at home... Fun to make and it turns out how you want every time! plus it is cheaper than take out and sometimes cheaper than frozen and it tastes better than frozen and take out!

Waffle Project

Make ahead and freeze Waffles....

You will Need: 2 eggs
               2 c. flour
1 3/4 c. milk
1/2 c Vegetable oil
1 Tbsp Sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Heat up your waffle iron and mix together all ingredients, I doubled the batch so I could see how much that made.... and double batch made about 24 very large waffles which will last us a while...

Spoon mix onto a greased and warm waffle iron....

put on a plate to cool....

I bagged mine in freezer quart bags for individual servings and then put the quart bags into gallon freezer bags (i will reuse the gallon bags and probably the quart size as well for next time I make waffles...)
and there you have a nice homemade alternative to those pricey, filled with junk eggos.... they are so good and filling... Husband says ... "Oh wow, those were the best and more filling than I thought!"

I call this a great success!!!
