First Crock Pot meal!
BBQ Pulled Pork
First I got a medium size pork loin and cut it in half and then froze half and cut the rest in half as well.... since it is just my husband and myself we don't need much... I seasoned my meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I added about a cup of water in the bottom of the crock pot and cooked the meat on low for an hour... I start out on low because my grandmother told me its the best way to warm up the crock pot for a long meal. After the hour, I turned the heat up to high and cooked for an additional 4 hours.
I then pulled the meat out and put it on a plate and I got the liquid out of the bottom of crock pot and saved a cup and discarded the rest. I then just took two forks and started to pull the meat apart. It was very easy because it is so tender already!
Then I put the meat and cup of liquid back in the crock pot and I added a whole bottle of bbq sauce, I used kroger brand honey bbq... I cooked on high for another 90 minutes.
And here we are.. the husband is putting it on the bun... He says "best meal ever". We will be having this again sometime soon!!!
I hope you enjoy and I hope you make some of this yummy food!!!!
